Laura Preston, a pleasant 23 year old, presented in our
office with trauma to her upper right central tooth.
Laura's trauma resulted in a horizontal fracture ending
just above the gum-line. She lost the main body of her
tooth but the fracture did not involve the pulp chamber of
the tooth.
Upon examining the
radiograph, Dr. Moore determined that root canal therapy
was not needed at this time. However, Dr. Moore advised
Laura that dental trauma may result in root canal therapy
in the future. Dr. Moore was successful in restoring
Laura's smile with a five surface composite resin
restoration. Lisa, our treatment coordinator, did a
follow-up call the next day and Laura reported how happy
she was with her treatment.
